The Most Venerable Upasamo Thongsoun Phantha-oudom was the Abbot and the first President of Wat Buddhalavarn Incorporated in 1987 to 2016.
The Most Venerable Upasamo Thongsoun Phantha-oudom was born in 1940 at Ban Toumkham, Pathumphone Province, Champasak, Laos. He ordained in 1962 at his home town. Then he carried on study the Buddhist in Vientiane, Capital of Laos for 6 years.
After the revolution of Laos, he lived at the refugee camp at Nongkhai, Thailand in 1982.
In December 1986, he came to Sydney Australia and stayed at Monk’s residence at Cabramatta, Sydney for 6 years before moved to a new temple at Wedderburn, Campbelltown.
The Most Venerable Upasamo Thongsoun Phantha-oudom was one of the best leaders in Sydney who taught and provided services to the Buddhist community
The Most Venerable Santithito Ronald Wagner was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1940. He was interested in Buddhism when he 19 years old. He studied and practiced the Buddhist in Germany. He went to England and ordained to be novice for 7 months before travelling to Thailand to complete his Buddhist study. He immigrated to Australia in 1990. At the time he stayed at Wiseman Ferry temple before he moved to Wat Buddhalavarn in 1994.
Venerable Santi spent most of his time teaching the Buddha teaching and the meditation.
